The project involved a portfolio of approximately 40 public houses located across the north of England owned by a pub company who had recently become insolvent. The properties were all mortgaged with a major high street bank. The bank were considering recovering possession of the properties, some of which had closed for business, with a view to undertaking disposals. Sanderson Weatherall were appointed to undertake a portfolio valuation by the bank in order for them to establish the extent of their exposure. Following completion of the exercise the bank instructed Sanderson Weatherall to act as disposal agents. The majority of the portfolio sold within a 2-3 month period of initial instruction, with only a few remaining properties now being marketed.
